I’m going into my 6th year (yes, I’m slow) of a dual degree B.Sc. Microbiology and Immunology/B.A. Classics (Latin). They don’t really go together, but I’ve never been very good at any sort of coordination (including colour and hand-eye). Somehow people decided that I know how to clone, so that’s what I spend most of my time doing, but I like to think our roles are not so rigid and stratified as to keep me from meddling with everything else.

I’d like to work in synthetic biology someday, and have wanted to compete in iGEM ever since I first heard about it back in 2006. Here’s hoping this inaugural team does well!
